FC Liverpool gegen Manchester United: Klangvolles Duell, klarer Favorit 
In der Premier League kommt es an diesem Sonntag zu einem klangvollen Duell. Der FC Liverpool empfängt Manchester United. 
Beide Teams blicken auf eine ruhmvolle Vergangenheit zurück. Liverpool wurde 18mal englischer Meister, gewann fünfmal die Champions League und dreimal den UEFA-Cup. Manchester war 20mal Meister und darf sich somit englischer Rekordmeister nennen. Zudem gewann United alle drei großen europäischen Vereinswettbewerbe mindestens einmal. 
Auch die Trainer sind keine Unbekannten. Jürgen Klopp, Trainer des FC Liverpool, erreichte sowohl mit seinem aktuellen Team als auch mit Borussia Dortmund das Finale der Champions League. Startrainer José Mourinho gewann schon zweimal die Champions League. 
Die Rollen vor dem Spiel sind klar verteilt. Der FC Liverpool geht als eindeutiger Favorit in die Begegnung. Das Team von Jürgen Klopp eroberte am vergangenen Spieltag die Tabellenführung von Manchester City. Von 16 Ligaspielen hat man 13 gewonnen und keines verloren, die letzten fünf Ligaspiele wurden alle gewonnen. Zudem hat Liverpool zuhause erst ein einziges Gegentor kassiert. In sieben Heimspielen feierte man sechs Siege bei einem Remis. An der Anfield Road konnte diese Saison also noch kein Gegner triumphieren. 
Anders die Lage bei der Mannschaft von José Mourinho, die eine sehr durchwachsene Saison bestreitet. In der Tabelle steht United auf einem unbefriedigenden sechsten Platz, 16 Punkte entfernt von Liverpool und der Tabellenspitze. Der Meistertitel ist kein Thema mehr. Von 16 Ligaspielen konnte man nur sieben, also weniger als die Hälfte, gewinnen. Von den letzten fünf Ligaspielen konnte Manchester sogar nur ein einziges gewinnen. Auswärts feierte die Mourinho-Truppe auch erst drei Siege. Zudem weist man auf fremdem Platz ein negatives Torverhältnis auf. 
Wer sein Geld also auf einen Sieg des FC Liverpool setzt, kann eigentlich nichts falsch machen.
