I think that France has a better team, something also indicated by the results of the two teams so far. In particular, France has enough quality to take advantage of the weaknesses of the Swedish defense, especially in a game in which the Swedes do not need to play for a result (something for which they may not be that good, anyway, as their previous two matches have shown). Add the fact that France will be motivated to win the first position in its group and I think we have anough reasons to expect a French victory.

For the straight win, I would not take odds below 1.75; for the -0.75 AH, I would like odds above 1.95.

I am taking / suggesting one more Euro 2012 bet, even though this competition has not been that successful for me. If you decide to follow, caution is advised.

Portugal impressed me very positively during the group phase, by showing qualities that I had not expected to see. Most importantly, the team found solutions in players other than CR7 (who performed well only in the match against Holland). In addition, it had a very good defensive match against Germany; its set pieces appeared to be well prepared, a real danger; and it showed quite a bit of character, by performing well in situations that it had to score, in all three games. On the other hand, the Czech Republic really surprised me by advancing to the next round; but it did not impress me. Essentially, I think that it had only one good match, that against Poland.

Overall, I believe that Portugal has considerably more quality in its squad than its quarterfinal opponents. In fact, I think that the Czech Republic is no better than Denmark, against which Portugal won (and should have won more easily than it eventually did). So, I would suggest the -0.75 AH for Portugal, at odds above 2.00; and I prefer this AH to the straight win, as Portugal can counterattack and punish any risks the Czechs may be forced to take.
