AFC Champions League: Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao -Western Sydney Warriors

The last two winners of this competition meet in Guangzhou , renewing a rivalry from last year when Warriors knocked out Evergrande at the quarter final stage en route to wiining the competition. They were two very tight games, with WSW edging home by the minimum margin in the first leg and then going through on away goals on the back of a 2-1 loss in China. It is now Warriors who are defending the title and that was always going to be a huge ask for them this season, not just to do well in this, but also to compete domestically after a hugely draining 2014. I have reproduced notes from last year's first meeting below to provide some background information, we did not preview the group game in Australia in March where a GET team, perhaps also out for a little revenge, won 3-2, courtesy of a Ricardo Goulart hat trick. However, the key points today are that the hosts are already group winners and have nothing to play for but pride and possibly a little more revenge, they play the two Shanghai teams in the next week, including Dongya who currently lead GET by one point at the top of the table and are likely to at least play with those games in mind, giving that this is effectively meaningless.

We also know that it is incredibly dangerous and foolhardy to ever write WSW off, they love to surprise and are absolutely certain to give their all and leave nothing on the pitch today. There task is very difficult, they need to win and hope that the FC Seoul- Kashima Antlers game ends in a draw, that is set to be very close with the winner progressing, or a draw being enough for the Korean team if WSM do not win, so it is easy to see a cat and mouse encounter at least through 45 minutes in Kashima, which should give Warriors encouragement. They are missing several players today including suspended trio of striker Kerem Bulut, defender Yusuke Tanaka and midfielder Kearyn Baccus, but that doesn't really change too much, they will have to gamble and look for goals, as whatever side the hosts put out, they are very difficult to keep out for 90 minutes on home soild, but they are more vulnerable in recent times and have already conceded three at home to Antlers in the group stage ( 4-3) and two to WSW in the reverse leg and the visitors got the away they required here last season, so don't rule out them at least making a decent stab at this and even if they lose heavily, 4-2 or something similar is possible and I see value, if you can find it, in Western Sydney Warriors to score over 1.5 goals ( two or more) at circa 3.50 ( I unit), far easier to back is "over" 3 goals which is a general 2.29 with Sportmarket Pro/ Pinnacle

Japan JLeague Kawasaki Frontale - Sanfrecce Hiroshima


Sanfrecce Hiroshima are another team we have been keen to stay on the right side of and ahead of their weekend home game with Vegalta Sendai I wrote .....

Four straight wins in all competitions for Sanfrecce Hiroshima, through which they have scored ten goals , two or more in each. They are up to fourth in the table and with the top two meeting in Saitama, they have a great opportunity to close in on one, or both with a fourth straight home win over Vegalta, who are without a win in six, including losing their last four.

Last weekend I previewed Sanfreece's home match with SSP.....I feel a visit to Hiroshima where the hosts have scored six road goals in the last week, including two at highflying FC Tokyo, who were previously unbeaten and who have scored 11 in the last four h2h meetings is the last thing they need right now. Tactically, Sanfrecce were spot on in the capital, took huge confidence from that and having followed up in midweek, want to now reproduce those performances in front of their home supporters who have been very loyal through a difficult start to the season.

They won 2-0 and have since followed up at Yokohama and are strongly favoured to win this. They eased home 2-0 there and have the chance to move to within a point of first place in the table with a sixth straight win, they have lost just one of seven h2h metings with Frontale, who have conceded six goals in their last two starts, including at four home to Reysol and are turning into flat track bullies, collecting just two points from five starts against top half teams, 12 from 15 versus bottom half sides. The team from just south of the capital are coming off a 2-1 defeat to rivals FC Tokyo in the derby game on Saturday, where they led for 50 minutes , before being reduced to ten men with 30 to go and conceded twice, that is a tough way to lose and a lot of effort to expend for no reward. That match was played on the hottest day of the year by some way and how it played out will have taken a big toll.Now they face another another top team, the third inside seven days and that is a big ask, against an opponent at the very top of their game. Shintaro Kuruyama is suspended for the hosts after his red card , the left back has had a good season, when he plays, Frontale have conceded 8 goals in 694 minutes ( one every 87 mins), without him, six in 116 (one every 19) ! Visitors for me, handicap start is a bonus.

Mein Spiel der Woche :-) oder besser mein Tipp der Woche.
Bayern eigentlich schon fast raus, aber gerade nach den letzten spielen müssen Sie hie runbedingt was zeigen!
Für mich sind 2 Szenarien denkbar.

1. Bayern hält gut mit und es wird ein Spiel wo Bayern vielleicht wirklich 2-3 Tore schießt, aber Barca aber eben auch mindestens eins.

2. Bayern wird von Barca gnadenlos ausgekontert und fängt sich wieder 4 Tore.

Egal wie, für mich ist dieses Spiel ein ganz klares over 2,5 und ich hätte die Quoten aufgrund der Vorzeichen eher bei 1,5-1,55 gesehen.
Daher 1,7 aktuell bei Mybet mega cool und daher wird dieses Wette auch fett angespielt.

Ist wohl so das einzige was man spielen kann. Quoten auf Sieg Bayern mit 2,40 sind reizuvoll aber dafür hätten Sie für mich am WE nen gutes Spiel abliefern müssen. Eine Niederlage gegen Augsburg stärkt mit Sicherheit nicht das Selbstbewusstsein......

Auch wenn ich es dem deutschen Fussball gönnen würde, ich sehe hier für die Bayern nicht wirklich eine Chance und hier rede ich noch nicht einmal über ein eventuelles Weiterkommen der Bayern!
Für mich ist Barcelona im Moment klar die bessere Mannschaft und ein Bayern München in der aktuellen Verfassung und dem Ausfall der berühmten Flügelzange von Robben und Ribery wird den Stars aus Barca nicht gewachsen sein.
Bayern muss und wird sicher offensiv auftreten und so dem Sturm von Barca viel viel Raum bieten.

Ich erwarte, dass sehr viele Tore fallen werden. Beide Mannschaften werden ein Tor machen. Außerdem erwarte ich, dass München hier gewinnen wird. Denn Barca muss hier nicht gewinnen. München gefällt mir nicht. Dennoch sind sie immer in der Lage hier mindestens mal den Sieg zu holen.

Was nehmen wir ?

Ich gehe auf München. Die Quoten sind ziemlich hoch. Barca wäre auch mit einer Niederlage zu frieden. Denn sie haben das Hinspiel klar gewonnen. Ich kann mir nicht vorstellen, dass die Münchener auch dieses Spiel hier verlieren werden. Trotz ohne Robben und Ribery. Pep solte eine Lösüng finden. Wenn nicht, dann verlieren wird wegen einer so hohen Quote.
